Welcome to 4th grade! You will have 2 teachers this year!  I will be teaching Math, Science and Social Studies.  Mrs. Cunningham will teach Reading,Language and Writing. 

I hope you are ready to work hard, learn lots, and have many exciting learning adventures! GO MAVS!

 About the Teacher

I have been teaching for 28 years and have taught all grades from kindergarten to sixth grade.  My favorite subjects are Math and Science.

I earned my B.A.E in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi, my M.A.E in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Memphis and am also National Board Certified.

 I am the proud mother of three boys.  Layne, the oldest earned his degree in chemical engineering from Mississippi State and his M.B. A from Rice.  Layne is working outside of Austin for Epicor.  Matthew, the middle son, earned a Masters in Accounting from Ole Miss. Matthew is currently building and managing four "Take Five" stores throughout Mississippi. Luke, the youngest, also graduated from Ole Miss with a Master's in Business Administration and Finance. Luke is commercial underwriter for Regions banking department in Ridgeland .  Jan's husband, Charles, works for AT&T.  We reside in Cypress Lake with our two German shepherds, Zoey and Zeus.
