It's a Great Day to be a Titan!
It is a honor to serve at Highland Elementary. My goal is to foster the social, emotional, and educational needs of all students. I want to assist all students on the pathway to Career and College Readiness. I have 35 years of experience serving as an elementary classroom teacher and school counselor. I'm beginning my 22nd year at Highland. I am a Louisiana native. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. I also obtained a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nicholls. I earned a Master's in Counseling from Mississippi College. I have completed post graduate counseling work from L.S.U. I'm a nationally board certified counselor and school counselor. I attend professional development on a regular basis.
I provide individual, small group, and classroom guidance throughout the year. Referrals may be made by teachers or parents. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the counselor. I will be more than happy to assist you in any way I can!
