Originally from Osyka, Mississippi, Melissa Henderson Baudier attended Amite School Center and graduated in 1991. She continued her education
at Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a B.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing in May of 1997. She later returned to school for a Special Education certification.
She began her teaching career at Neson Middle School as a special education teacher. After working there for three years, she and her family
moved to Slidell, Louisiana, where she was an IEP Facilitator for the St. Tammany School Board.
After moving to Madison during Christmas of 2009, she began teaching at Mannsdale Elementary under administrator Dee Walsh. After Mrs. Walsh relocated
to Madison Middle, she followed suit and became a jaguar. She is proud to call Madison home.
Melissa
lives in Ashbrooke with her family: daughter Bailey (15), son
Braxton (11), and three dogs Bella, Beau, and Maddie. Her oldest son
Brennan (20) attends Louisiana Tech where he is a member of the baseball team. She is a member at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
