Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year
Greetings Titans, and welcome to our Physical Education Program at Old Town Middle School. My name is Mr. Elvin Rashad Crisp. I am thrilled to be a part of the staff of Old Town Middle to embrace my passion of developing the physical, as well as academic growth of students. My goal is to promote fitness in an exciting way for ALL students. Students will be introduced, and have opportunities to participate in essential body management skills that will enhance lifelong learning in the field of Physical Education.
In addition to teaching Physical Education, I will be coaching the following sports:
- Head 7th and 8th grade football at Old Town Middle School
- Assistant Junior Varsity and Varsity football at Ridgeland High School
- Head 7th and 8th grade basketball at Old Town Middle School
- Assistant Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball at Ridgeland High School
- Head Boys track at Ridgeland High School
-Head 9th grade Boys track at Ridgeland High School
I am very excited to continue my teaching and coaching career here at my former middle school. I attended Old Town Middle and graduated from Ridgleand High School in 2011. Following graduation, I accepted a football scholarship to play at Holmes Community College. After a year in junior college, I went on to play football for three years at Mississippi College while obtaining my Bachelor's degree in History. I am married to my beautiful and supportive wife Monica Crisp. Together we have four children, Melodee (12) Kyree (8), Journee (2), and Maloree (1). Sports have always been my passion, and I am very excited to relay my physical education knowledge, and to have this profound opportunity to give back to the community that contributed to my success in my chosen field.
