About the Teacher

Hello my name is Bobby Robinson and I am not a conventional teacher.  I teach eighth grade science at Old Town Middle School in Ridgeland, MS.  I was voted Madison County School District’s 2009 Middle School Teacher of the Year and the Mississippi Distinguished Middle School Teacher of the Year 2019.  I am a member of the National Science Teacher Association, Mississippi Science Teacher Association, and the National Middle School Association. I am a National Board Certified Teacher that graduated from Clayton State University, Thomas Edison University, and completed my Master in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.  I have degrees in Education and Applied Sciences in Nuclear Technology.  I served as a nuclear power plant supervisor in the United States Navy onboard fast attack submarines for over eight years and traveled to every continent, except Antarctica.  I require students to think outside the box.  I am truly passionate about my students and the science I teach.
