    TACO 'BOUT IT TUESDAY

    Each year there are 2 million acts of violence in schools. When you Say Something, you can help prevent them.

    CIRCLE OF SUPPORT: It's always important to talk about how you're feeling with those you trust. It's especially important to act immediately and talk to a Trusted Adult if you hear or see something that may be a warning sign or is considered a threat. If it makes you uncomfortable, worried, or frightened- it's always best to talk with a Trusted Adult. On Thursday, you'll identify 2 trusted adults at OTMS that you can go to for help when needed.

    TRUSTED ADULTS THURSDAY

    Trusted Adult is someone who has the experience and knowledge to get the right kind of help. Or even point you in the right direction. It's mega important to have 2-3 adults picked out who you can turn to if and when needed.

    Today's mission:

    1. Through your grade level's Canvas page with the school counselors, let us know who you've picked as your two Trusted Adults. (There's a link in today's module to do this!)

    2. Send some support and encouragement to your 2 Trusted adults

    Once you identify who you want your two trusted adults to be, send them some words of encouragement to brighten their day through email or Canvas. We've created some templates and prompts to help you out. Check out the message templates below!

    Here's 3 ideas you can pull from that would be AWESOME to include in your message:

    1. Why they are appreciated as a trusted adult;

    2. Why you might go to that person as a trusted adult; and

    3. How that person is helping to keep our school community safe as a trusted adult.
