GMS Beta Club members must meet the following expectations in order to be eligible to return as Beta Club members next school year:

    Beta Club Expectations 2024-2025

GMS Junior Beta Club members should strive to uphold the following expectations:

    Exemplary Character:

    • Be the best I can be in my classrooms and in my community.
    • Show respect for my teachers, administrators, school staff, and peers.
    • Attend monthly meetings before school on the last Friday of most months. Attending each meeting and participating in the activities will count as a grade of 100 in the Canvas gradebook. If you are unable to attend a meeting, you will need to complete the alternate assignment for that month in Canvas.

    Academic Achievement:

    • Maintain a 90 or above final overall average in all classes at the end of the year.
    • Work to the best of my ability.

    Service to Others:

    • Complete at least FOUR service projects totaling at least TEN hours.
      • Keep track of all service projects on the Beta Club Service Form (see Excel sheet embedded in Canvas).
      • Each service project should last between 1 and 3 hours; students may not receive payment for service projects.
      • Donating money or items will count as only one project and as one service hour.

    Leadership:

    • Go above and beyond standard expectations to help and serve others in my community.
    • Complete all activities on the Beta Club Canvas course and earn at least 80% on all Canvas work. Monthly meetings count as the majority of the Canvas average, but other assignments include completing the information survey and uploading your service hours.
