    Course Description: Drug Education is a semester course that provides current, accurate facts about legal and illegal drugs. Students examine the negative impact that wrongful drug use can have on health, relationships, education and career. Positive decision making is encouraged so that each student can enjoy the best experience life can offer.
     
     
     
    Course Objectives:
    • To provide current, accurate facts about legal and illegal drugs.
    • To understand the short-term and long-term effects of drugs on the human mind and body.
    • To appreciate the impact of drug use on health, relationships, education, career, and offspring.
    • To understand the legal consequences of illegal drug use.
    • To encourage positive decision-making in order to enjoy the most meaningful, most enriching experiences of life.

    General Class Policies: Students are expected to follow all established school guidelines for behavior, attendance, dress, and class participation. In addition, the teacher expects the following:
    1. Humor the teacher, and do it his way. He may not always be right, but he is always the teacher.
    2. Speak only when you have permission to do so.
    3. Respect the personal property of others.
    4. Speak and act in a kind and respectful manner at all times.
    5. Enter the classroom with a respectful, cooperative attitude.
    6. Bring everything you need for class every time class meets.
    7. If the unexpected happens, refer to policy number 1.
