Welcome!
I'm so excited about the start of school, and I am looking forward to a great year! This will be my 34th year teaching (5 years at Pearl High School, 16 years at Clinton High School, 13 previous years at Germantown High School) and I will be teaching Visual Arts III, Visual Arts IV, Drawing I & II, Painting I & II, and Dual Enrollment Art Appreciation. I also presently teach an online Art Appreciation class for Holmes Community College. As far as Maverick extra-curricular activities go - I'm sponsor of Interact Club.
About the Teacher
I graduated from Mississippi State University with a BA in Commercial Art and a BS in Art Education. I also received a Master of Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Mississippi College. I have always had a heart for service and have served as President of three different PTA organizations, President of Junior Auxiliary of Clinton, and for years have organized various fundraisers for St. Jude Children's Hospital. While cheer coach at Clinton for five years, I served as District 6's representative on the state MHSAA Spirit Board and worked with the girls to have one of the top cheer squads around. Working hard paid off and we placed consistently at the top of competitions and won two state championships. I have been fortunate to teach many talented students over the years and many of the students have won numerous state and national awards in various competitions including the Scholastic Art Awards and Congressional Art Competitions. After marrying Tim Shramek, Defensive Coordinator for Madison Central, I stepped down from my cheer responsibilities to support him on Friday nights. When Germantown High School opened up in August 2011, we came to GHS where we both supported the Mavericks. He was the Athletic Director/Head Football Coach for 10 years and started the summer of 2021, working at the MHSAA. He is now an Assistant Director/ Director of Eligibility and Compliance. We have been official Madison County residents since we moved in July 2013 to be closer to Germantown High School. I presently serve as Director of the Mississippi Coaches' Wives Association's state Executive Board - a position I really enjoy because I get to meet and know different coaches' wives around the state. We enjoy spending time when possible with our four children, five grandchildren, and our two "babies" - our two labs - Bella and Tucker.
