    About the Teacher

    Catherine Newsom

    Education:  I graduated with a BS from Union University in Jackson, TN.  My major was Special Education and Elementary Education.  
     
    Other teaching positions:  I taught 4 years in the Jackson Madison County School System in Jackson TN.  The first year I taught PreK Special Education and the next 3 I taught 6th grade Inclusion. I was a substitute teacher, here at MAUE and the Madison County School District for 3 years.  This is my eigth year at MAUE in the computer lab.  
     
    Family and Hobbies:  I have been married to my husband, Billy, for 25 years.  He works in Industrial Sales for Carlton Bates Company.  We have 2 children, Grant and Eric. We have a dog named Cooper. We attend Broadmoor Baptist Church.  I love to read, shop, decorate, & talk.
