I began teaching English at Canton High School in 2008 after staying home with my children for 14 years. I left Canton in 2012 and  moved to Brandon Middle School where I taught 7th and 8th grade English. In 2014, I was so happy to move to MAUE and teach Special Education. During this time, I taught all three grades (3rd, 4th & 5th) direct instruction from 2014-2017 and taught 4th grade inclusion from 2017-2019. Last year, I had the wonderful opportunity to move to 3rd grade as a general education teacher. For the 2020-2021 school year, I will be back in Special Education, and I am looking forward a year that is OUT OF this WORLD!

Family and Hobbies:  I have three children and have been married to my husband, David, for 30 years. We have lived in Madison for 13 years and both of my boys went to MAUE! (They turned out pretty good!) Our daughter, Sydney, graduated from Ole Miss in 2018 and is working in Washington DC. Our middle child, William, will begin his junior year at Mississippi State this fall (Hail State!). My baby, Jake is a sophmore at Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!).
In addition to my three children, I have three fur-babies!
We have three dogs, a Chihuahua named Buttercup and a Boston Terriers named Max. We also have a cat named Sam.
I love ALL holidays, but I especially enjoy Halloween and Christmas. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family! I also love to shop and decorate my house and classroom!
