Anne King (First Grade)
Welcome to Mrs. King's first grade class! I am so excited to be working with you and your child this upcoming school year. I look forward to seeing your child's growth and love of learning in and out of the classroom. I believe teachers and parents must work as a team to ensure each individual child is reaching their highest potential. I have high expectations for my students because I know they can reach them! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at the email listed above.
About the Teacher
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri ( Go Cardinals!!!). I come from a large family being 1 of 7 kids and wouldn't have it any other way! I have been married to my husband Jack for 2 years. We were blessed with our first baby girl Evelyn in July. I enjoy riding my bike, going on walks with my dogs, listening to music, shopping at Target, my faith, and teaching. I attended the University of Dayton in Ohio where I graduated with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 2017. After graduating with my bachelors degree I was accepted into a program called "Teach for America." The program placed me in the Mississippi Delta where I taught Pre-K and 1st grade for 3 years. After teaching in the Delta I taught kindergarten in the Jackson area. This will be my fourth year at Madison Avenue Elementary and I am thrilled to be part of such a hard working team I get to call my family.
