"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character — that is the goal of true education."

About Ms. Green
My name is Shannon Green, and I am ecstatic about teaching 8th Grade ELA at MMS! I am a product of Madison County Schools: Madison Station Elementary (K-5), Madison Middle School (6-8), Rosa Scott (9), and Madison Central High School (10-12). I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Special Education, English, and Math from the University of Mississippi. I also received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum Instruction from the University of Mississippi. I received my Specialist in Educational Leadership from William Carey University. Recently, I also received my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from William Carey University. I am so excited to teach, inspire, motivate, and challenge your teenager to expand his/her thinking in ELA!
This is going to be an unconventional year, but it will be filled with learning, growing, reading, writing, hard work, and fun for both the students and me!
