Welcome to the Art Department at Madison Middle School.

I am extremely excited to be teaching at Madison Middle School again this year.  This will be my seventh year teaching art and my third year teaching at MMS.  This school is a special place.  I have known that since my first day here.  I previously taught Art I, II, III, & IV at Clinton High School and Art I & II at Forest Hill High School.  I am originally from South Jackson and graduated from Forest Hill.  My children and I have lived in Madison for eleven years and I have a daughter at Madison Avenue Upper and a son in first grade at Madison Avenue Lower.  We love being Jaguars!

After high school, I attended Hinds Community College where a played soccer for two years and began taking art classes.  I later transferred to Ole Miss where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Art with an emphasis in graphic design and a minor in English. A few years later, I decided that I wanted to be more involved in the fine arts so I went back to Hinds and completed an intensive teaching program to earn my teaching certification.  I am an active artist in our local community.  I have designed logos such as Pizza Shack and Madison County Gymnastics to name a few and I participate in art shows and festivals around the state.  I look forward to a fun and entertaining year as a Jaguar.
