Teacher Academy Instructor
Differentiated Instruction Specialist
Educators Rising Sponsor
Welcome to Teacher Academy!
My name is Shari Dantzler [dance-ler]. My hometown is Hattiesburg but I've enjoyed the past 16 years in Madison County. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from William Carey University. Three years later, I discovered my passion for the classroom and returned for a Master of Education and a Specialist degree from WCU. My hope is that my desire to acquire knowledge sparks excitement and interest in my students to become life-long learners as well.
I've enjoyed my teaching experience in various subjects such as math, reading, science, and social studies in 4th and 5th grades at Mannsdale and Camden elementary schools. For the next 5 years, I was thrilled to be a part of the beginning of the new technology program implementation in MCS as I taught Information and Communication Technology 1 at Madison Middle School as well as training other teachers for the RCU at Mississippi State for the ICT program. Now, I am beyond excited to be working with future educational leaders that will hopefully return to our school district and be amazing teachers that love this career path as much as I do!
