Leah Addison, 6th Grade Resource Teacher
My name is Leah Addison. I am thrilled to be teaching 6th grade Reading and Math Resource Class for the 2020-2021 school year. This is going to be a great year with many new adventures! More than ever, I am proud to be a Germantown Middle School Maverick!
This will be my 15th year teaching in the Madison County School District. I am a Mississippi College graduate, and I received my Master‘s Degree in Education from William Carey University. In 2002, I began my teaching career at the Mississippi Children's Learning and Behavior Center. At that time, I worked with children on the Autism Spectrum in clinical, school, and home based settings. In 2005, I obtained my Mississippi Teacher Certification through the Alternate Route to Quality Teachers Program and began teaching in the Madison County School District.
In my classroom, I strive to maintain a loving, structured, and consistent environment where the students clearly know the expectations, and we are learning each and every day! Communication is a huge part of our successful school year, so I encourage you to reach out and let me know if you ever have any concerns or questions.
I have 3 amazing children. Avery (15), Austin (13), and Asher (6). I am married to my wonderful husband of 18 years. We attend Broadmoor Baptist Church, and enjoy watching our children play soccer on the weekends.
