My name is Dr. Marsha Peoples and I am so excited to serve as Assistant Principal at East Flora! I love children, all things education, and I love leading teachers. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher, and thankfully I have had phenomenal teachers and role models in my life that steered me even more towards my passion.
I graduated from the Mississippi University for Women with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with concentrations in English and Social Studies. I earned my Masters, Specialist, and Doctorate degrees from Mississippi College. I worked as a classroom teacher in the Jackson Public School District for 8 years. I taught first grade for 7 years and third grade for one year. I accepted a Literacy Specialist position in Madison County in 2015. I served for four years at Luther Branson Elementary, and one year at Ann Smith Elementary.
My husband Kris and I have been married for 13 years. We have two children, KJ and Kailyn, whom both attend schools in the District. We love to shop, take trips, and relax with friends and family.
Although this year will look a little different, I am so excited to get to know the families of East Flora. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns at
It's a great day to be a Jag!
