Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Jasmine Thompson

GREETINGS!! I am honored to be AOC's Math teacher! I teach 6th-12th grade Math. I enjoy every moment and the challenges that come along with it! I look forward to getting to know you all while you are here, and I look forward to growing with you all as well!

As a product of Madison County School District, it brings me great joy to be able to come back and give my students an exemplary learning experience that I have received. I am a graduate of ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY (iBleed PURPLE & GOLD). I am a Graduate student at Jackson State University! During after school hours, I am the after school teacher for In His Steps Ministries, Inc. in Canton, Ms. I work with 2nd- 5th grade students to improve their reading and math skills.

I enjoy working with kids and watching them grow academically! I love when students have their 'AHA' moments! During those moments, they are able to witness how everything they learn work together! As a teacher, my philosophy is that the mind is what influences your actions. I feel that as students progress through school, their minds are evolving. As an educator, it is my responsibility to teach my students how to think outside the box. Teach them how to apply what they know to real world situations. Whether they go straight to college, or go into a trade or career, the critical thinking skills that are being built inside the classroom will be needed. Not only is my purpose to promote positive and critical thinking skills, but I provide a thriving and safe environment for my students to excel in. I take pride in challenging my students to be the best version of themselves and always think outside the box.
