    Welcome:

Go Tiny Titans!  I am happy to continue to serve in my third year as Assistant Principal at Ann Smith Elementary where "Diversity Is Our Superpower!" Diversity of students and staff is one of my favorite things about ASE, and one of the main reasons I was drawn to serving here.  I have many roles as Assistant Principal, but I especially enjoy supporting teachers, collaborating with others, and impacting student learning.  I know from 24 years of experience that students can and will learn but at different rates.

    About Mrs. Ellis:

I love what I do and enjoy helping others!  I played school every day when I was a little girl and always knew when I grew up, I wanted to be a teacher.  My career in education began in 2000 when I graduated from Delta State University.  I have taught both elementary and middle school.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) and also served as National Board Coordinator for Madison County Schools for 4 years.  I earned a Master of Education from The University of Mississippi and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College.

In 2009, I married my best friend and wonderful husband, Robert, and moved to Madison County.  I served as a District Literacy Specialist for 8 years at Madison Station, Shirley Simmons Middle, and East Flora Elementary.  I am happy to say that in my 15-year career with Madison County Schools, I have been blessed to be part of each of our District's 4 Zones: Falcons, Jaguars, Mavericks, and Titans!  Although I have learned through experience that every zone is unique and diverse, each one is special and significant to me in different ways.  Thanks so much for visiting my page, and please reach out to me if you ever have additional questions, concerns, or needs!
