This will be my 15th year teaching Ceramics I & II at MCHS and my 18th year of teaching Art. I am really looking forward to meeting my new students! I graduated from Delta State University with my BFA and BA. . I am also a cosponsor of the MCHS Art Club. I am not just a teacher of ceramics but I am a pottery artist myself. I have two beautiful children and 3 awesome dogs, Me2 French Bulldog's and Husky mix. My Ceramics class is going to be a great environment for students to learn the basics of making hand built ceramic ware. We will be making functional and sculptural pieces in ceramics. If you love sculpting in Ceramics I & II then you should further your sculpting skills and sign up for AP 3D studio next year. I also love to travel and have taken students and parents on multiple adventures throughout the years. I will be traveling to Australia in June of 2025. I have traveled with students from MCHS for 10 years now on over 12 different tours. These trips provide wonderful opportunities for students and parents to experience other cultures.
