About Me

Hello My name is Matoya Tyler, and I am so excited to be your child’s 2nd  grade teacher this year. I live close by with my husband Jerrell and our two kids Jaxon and Giana. Jaxon is a very energetic 2nd grader. Giana is a very out-spoken and funny 4-year-old. We love spending time together and staying busy. This will be my 12th  year teaching & my 3rd year here at MCE. I love 2nd  grade so much.

My Education

In 2015, I graduated with a Masters of Science in Education from Mississippi state university. In 2020 I graduated from the University of West Alabama, with a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education.
