About the Teacher

This will be my 31st year of teaching in MS public schools, and my 21st at Highland. I hold a Bachelor's, Master's, and Specialist's degree in education from Mississippi State University. I am additionally certified in reading k-8, gifted education, Reading Recovery, and special education.

 I have been married for 35 years to my husband, David, an attorney, business owner, and LSU graduate. We have 3 children...Jolie, a Veterinarian in Flowood, Morgan, an Accountant in Washington D.C, and Brooks, an airborne cryptic linguist for the United States Air Force. Our daughter, Jolie, is married to Matthew West, a Vice President at Bank Plus. We are active members of First Baptist Church, Madison. I'm looking forward to a fun year full of virtuial learning and laughter!!!
