    Meet the teacher

    Welcome to Highland!

    My name is  Mena Burnett and I teach third grade at Highland. This is my 18th year of teaching. I am originally from Natchez, MS, but have lived in the Jackson/Ridgeland area for over 20 years. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Tougaloo College.

    I am so excited to work with a new group of third graders this year.
