General Stuff to Know

- We require All A’s on your EOY report card from 6th grade OR proof of induction into 6th Beta for entry into 7th grade Beta.
- We will check grades at each report card. A picture can be emailed to Ashley.smith@madison-schools.com OR you can bring a copy to any sponsor (we will return them).
- Dues will be paid through Myschoolbucks- $40 & cover a t-shirt, breakfasts & lunches on field trip days, bus fees, teacher appreciation happies, etc.
- We encourage 20 hours of community service to be completed by the end of the year (May 2024).
- We will offer 20+ service hour opportunities starting in August. We also encourage you to find opportunities that interest you and can be done outside of school if possible.
- 4 hours will be accepted from the summer between 6th & 7th grade (ex: VBS volunteer, free babysitter, yard work for a neighbor- anything done at no charge).
- Your student will keep up with documenting hours completed & you may “sign off” on any service done outside of school.
- We have a canvas page to follow for announcements and important info (if you were inducted last year you’ll be added by us)
- We also use REMIND: Sign up for important updates from Mrs. Turpin by following the 7th grade Beta Club “remind”. Text: @7thbetamms to 81010
- We will hold an interest meeting in August where your student will receive an information packet with more details. All dues/paperwork must be returned by Sept. 1st for admission. Officer elections will follow in September.
