Mrs. Elizabeth Gober
About the Teacher
Elizabeth Gober received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Mississippi College. Then, in 2009, Mrs. Gober earned her National Board Teacher Certification. During her 28-year career, Mrs. Gober has primarily taught in the gifted education program.
For eight years, she simultaneously served as Madison Station's arts coordinator, helping build and write grants for the school's Arts Create Excellence program. Following that, as part of the New York Metropolitan Opera Guild's "Creating Original Opera" program, Mrs. Gober and a team of MSE teachers led fourth grade students to write, produce and perform eleven original operas.
Elizabeth enjoys teaching art classes after school, and each year in June, she and the PA teachers host MSE's Summer Chess Camp.
Mrs. Gober loves teaching, spending time with family and friends, making music and art, reading, cooking, watching movies, and traveling. One day, she hopes to travel to Greece.
Elizabeth has been married to her husband Michael for 25 years. They live in Madison with their sixteen-year-old daughter Savannah Grace and the family pets.
