Highland Elementary

This site is organized by grade level, from kindergarten through grade 5. It includes strategies for developing strong reading habits and a series of activities to practice the five components of reading. Those include working with sounds, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.  

Also included are tools for families to find books that match their child’s grade band and a free Library.

Destiny Discover is the library's catalog. Click here to access the website. When you get to this page, you can click on the blue magnifying glass in the upper right corner and search for books.  It is very easy to use!  You can put in searches like Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Percy Jackson.
