v If you are planning to bring your class to the library for research or instruction, please inform the media specialist as soon as possible to ensure an open date. The teacher must accompany the class.
v If you are planning on assigning any outside research or reading, please inform the media specialist ahead of time. I will be happy to reserve books in the media center or limit the number of books one student may check out. This will allow more students to have access to the material.
v You are always welcome to use the media center before and after school and during your planning period. If you need to come earlier than 7:45 or stay later than 3:45, I will be glad to make arrangements.
v Teachers may check out books for as long as they are needed. Please remember that you will be held accountable for any lost or damaged books.
v Teachers may also check out equipment through the media center.
v The media specialist has the discretion to ask students to leave the media center and return to class/study hall if there is already a class in the media center, the student is misbehaving, or the media center is needed for another activity.
v The media center purchases books and audiovisual items to enhance the curriculum and instructional needs of the school. To ensure that the books and materials meet your needs, I would appreciate your input and requests.
v Laminating is done in the media center. Please leave the item(s) to be laminated on the circulation desk with the teacher's name attached. Please give me 1-2 days to complete the laminating.
v Paper for bulletin boards is located in the media center.
