Hi there!  I'm Lisa Carron, and I am SO excited about being your first grade teacher! I have been teaching for 13 years, and have taught first, second, and fourth grades.  I have also taught reading resource and special education classes throughout my career.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in U.S. History and Russian language from Tulane University, a Master's in Education from Loyola, and my doctoral degree from Mississippi College.  I absolutely love learning and hope to pass this on to my new class!

I have a wonderful husband and two grown sons.  I'm a huge sports fan, and there's nothing I like better than watching my boys play baseball!  I am also originally from New Orleans, so I'm an avid Saints fan.

I believe that experiences drive meaningful learning.  As your child's teacher, I aim to partner with you to work together in order to create an optimal learning experience for your child.  I hope to spark my students' curiosity about the world and instill a love of learning.  I cannot wait to meet you!
