    Welcome Message

    Greetings!  I am Mrs. Erves, a 2nd grade resource teacher.  I really enjoy working at Ann Smith Elementary! This year will be a journey of learning and growth for your child. I truly believe that all children can learn, just maybe not at the same time or in the same way.  In my classroom, I design different activities according to my students' learning styles.  I collaborate with teachers frequently to monitor my students' progress in their classrooms and provide support. 

    About the Teacher

     I am happily married with three children. I have a daughter, who is an eleventh grader, a eight year-old little boy,  and the baby boy of the family, who is two years old! This is my twenty-third year as an educator. During that time, I taught fourth grade, kindergarten, second grade and have been a school librarian.  This is my ninth year as a resource teacher.  I graduated from Langston University in Oklahoma with my Bachelor's degree and Jackson State University with my Masters in Elementary Education.  I am certified in several areas. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping and going to the movies.  Here are a few of my favorites:
