State and Federal Mandated Reports
The Dashboard Report is a state-mandated report required by the Children First Act of 2009. The purpose of this report is to provide citizens in every community the opportunity to view, at a glance, a report that provides important information about their school district. It provides information in three categories: District Profile, Academic Achievement, and Financial Data. This report is not to be confused with the Federal Every Student Succeeds Act Report Card. While the two reports will contain some of the same information, each report satisfies a different reporting requirement.
The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA) Section 1111(h)(2)(B)(ii); 34 C.F.R. § 200.31(d)(2)) requires each school district that receives Title I funding to produce annual report cards and disseminate them to parents and community stakeholders.
The Mississippi Succeeds Report Cards have been developed in response to ESSA and the reports are available in a printable format and as an interactive online tool for detailed and specific information about the professional qualifications of teachers, students assessment results, achievement data for specific subgroups, student absenteeism, discipline, advanced coursework, college/university enrollment and student participation rates.
Access the interactive Mississippi Succeeds Report Cards at the Mississippi Department of Education.
