• Dr. Shannon Green

I am honored, excited, and grateful to serve as the 7th Grade Principal of Madison Middle School! I am a proud, vested product of Madison County Schools, particularly the Madison Zone. I attended Madison Station Elementary, Madison Middle School, Rosa Scott, and Madison Central. I continued my education at the University of Mississippi, where I achieved my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, with endorsements in English, Math, and Special Education as well as my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, I achieved my Specialist in Education Leadership and Doctorate in Education Leadership from William Carey University.

This is the 10th year of my educational journey and my second year as an administrator. Previously, I taught 1st Grade at Luther Branson Elementary for two years, and I taught 8th Grade English Language Arts here at Madison Middle School, and I was blessed to serve as one of the sponsors of the Student Government Association and the Beta Club. Furthermore, I was the Assistant Volleyball Coach.

Seventh grade is the year for students to get involved in extra-curricular activities. I encourage each student to find his/her niche at MMS. I look forward to assisting Dr. Jones, the rest of our administration, and faculty and staff as we inspire and empower our students to continue the legacy of excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, and community service.

If I can serve you, please contact me.  We are going to have an awesome school year!  Go Jags!
