    ABOUT THE COUNSELOR

Welcome Jaguars to the 2024-2025 school year! It is with great pleasure that I embark on this journey to support the students and families of Rosa Scott High School.  Beginning high school marks an exciting transition. Navigating this new chapter can feel overwhelming at times. However, please know that I am here to support in any way possible.  My mission is to empower students to achieve goals and fulfill their potential. I am dedicated to addressing the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students.

I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Alcorn State University and a Master of Science Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Jackson State University. Additionally, I have a gifted education endorsement from Mississippi College. I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and a National Board Certified School Counselor (NCSC).  As a member of the Mississippi Counseling Association and Mississippi Professional Educators, I have 26 years of experience in education. I have served as a school counselor for seventeen years, with eight of those years in the Madison County School District.

My hobbies include spending time with family, serving the community, reading, photography, playing the guitar and crafting.

I am thrilled about the exciting things planned for this school year and look forward to partnering with you for a successful year ahead. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
