Course Description:
Introduction to Engineering Design is the first course in the Academy of Engineering and is offered at Rosa Scott and Madison Central. Students dig deep into the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to hands-on projects. They work both individually and in teams to design solutions to a variety of problems. Developing skills of design and modeling using Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD software, measuring with calipers, using Excel as a reporting and analytical tool, and properly documenting in an engineering notebook are among the many opportunities each student is granted.
