Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with Emphasis on English Master of Science in Mental Health and Wellness

Mrs. Wilbanks

I am so excited about getting the 2024-2025 started. I want this year to be full of learning, building relationships, and having fun. I hope my class will not only teach you academic lessons, but also life lessons. I have been at Madison Central for about 10 years and this is my 8th year in the classroom. My husband, Ken, and I have been married for 34 years, and have lived in Madison for about 27 years. I love this school. I would not want to be teaching anywhere else!

I grew up in Jackson and graduated from Woodland Hills Baptist Academy (1985). I then attended Ole Miss. I have a B.S. in Secondary Ed with an emphasis in English.  I received my Master's degree in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling in November 2022. . I am the proud mom of 2 boys. Jamison, who is 28. He graduated from Ole Miss with a Management degree.  He works here in Madison. He has been married for about 4 years to the former Megan Kelly, who also graduated from Madison Central. They gave us our first grandchild in November 2024, Charlie, and we are so in love with that boy.  Peyton is a 2019 graduate of Madison Central. He played soccer for Jones County Community College for 2 years. He then went on to Ole Miss and graduated in 2023 and attended nursing school at UMMC and graduated with a BSN in May 2024. He will work as an RN at UMMC.  My boys are my heart and I have loved watching them grow into the men God made them to be. My family enjoys spending time together, we love going to any Ole Miss and Jaguar sporting events. We attend Pinelake Church in Madison, and we love being a part of this awesome community of Madison.

I consider it a great privilege to be working at Madison Central. Our administration, our faculty, and our students are second to none.  We are going to learn and have fun. I want my students to be better people when they leave my class than they were when they entered. This year I will be teaching 3 different classes. They are English IV (Senior English), Oral Communication and Learning Strategies.

I can't wait to see what great things this year has in store for all of us and I pray this year will be the best one yet!

Hotty Toddy and Go Jags!!!!
